A Spanish temple to football

If ever there were an iconic football venue, Santiago Bernabéu Stadium should be in contention. Inaugurated back in 1947, the stadium is owned by Real Madrid Club de Fútbol. With a capacity of over 81,000, the arena is also one of the largest in the world.

From the very first match on 14 December 1947 with between Real Madrid and the Portuguese side Os Belenenses, this majestic sports venue is a temple to Spanish football fans. The Bernabéu is the second-largest stadium in Spain.
