The Costume Museum

Museo del Traje showcases the historical evolution of clothing and ethnological heritage testimonies representing the cultures of the peoples of Spain.

Museo del Traje has a small collection of clothing from the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, a collection of contemporary clothing counting more than 4000 garments, and an important collection of popular traditional costumes from all over Spain, consisting of more than 5000 pieces. In addition to the exhibition halls showcasing its permanent collections, the museum has other facilities to explore, including a central courtyard and a beautiful garden, as well as shop, cafe, auditorium, classrooms, children's workshops, a large hall for visiting exhibitions.
